Heat Protecting Tank Cover
In most urban cities across the Gulf region, during the scorching summer months, water stored in rooftop tanks becomes so hot that it’s difficult to even touch. During summer, temperatures in many Gulf cities can soar to around 48°C. On a sunny day, when the outside temperature reaches this peak, the water inside plastic tanks often heats up to nearly the same level. Even tanks made with five-layered white plastic can see internal temperatures rise up to 46°C.
Solution: Heat Protecting Tank Cover by Business Art International
Business Art International has engineered the Heat Protecting Tank Cover using premium imported materials and a patented manufacturing process. This innovative jacket helps maintain cooler water in summer and warmer water in winter, significantly reducing the energy required to regulate water temperature.
Additionally, the cover extends the life of water tanks by shielding them from UV radiation and harsh environmental conditions. Our Heat Protecting Tank Cover is scientifically designed to reflect a substantial portion of the sun’s heat radiation:
1-inch thick insulation reflects approximately 80% of solar heat.
1.5 to 2-inch thick insulation reflects approximately 90% to 97% of solar heat.
The jacket consists of high-performance EPS insulation sandwiched between two waterproof fabric layers, effectively blocking conductive heat transfer. This makes it one of the most efficient tank insulation solutions available today—perfectly suited for the extreme Gulf climate.

Pipe Insulation
The Most Efficient Solution for Extreme weather conditions
Whether it’s PPRC (plastic pipes) or GI (metal pipes), in Gulf countries such as Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, these pipes are often installed on rooftops or exposed outdoor areas, where they are subjected to direct and intense sunlight. As a result, the water inside can become extremely hot during summer, making it difficult or even unsafe for regular use.
While winters in the Gulf are relatively mild, the key challenge throughout the year—especially during the long summer months—is excessive water heating. This overheated water not only affects user comfort but also increases the demand on cooling systems, leading to higher electricity bills and accelerated wear on plumbing appliances.
To maintain consistent and usable water temperatures year-round, and to minimize energy consumption related to water cooling, pipe and tank insulation is a practical and efficient solution. Insulating pipes and source tanks reduces the cooling load on chiller systems and RO plants, and it also extends the lifespan of compressors by decreasing their operating frequency.
There are various types of insulation materials available in the market. However, considering the efficiency, cost, and durability, Business Art International recommends the following two types of insulation for piping systems in the Gulf. These materials have proven effective in harsh climatic conditions and are widely used in both residential and industrial applications across the region.
